Exhibit at Fictional Life: Hybridity, Transgenetics Innovation In Taiwan Contemporary Culture Lab

In the information of the 21st century, the developed by the Internet, web celebrity and live of the Lord is the product of this era, this group of people who would take his own life to the virtual space, emotional communication on the Internet, only mobile phones as their own the world gradually, in the real world without interaction with others, just like plants which do not respond to external stimuli. And with a layer of screen protection on the Internet there was a group called "acid people", this group of people wear camouflage, willfully damage of the keyboard screen opposite of a "real" person, in their opinion, the damage on the Internet, after all, will not affect your real life, but to be attacked, the harm is enormous, in recent years counter-balanced by the network comments have led to depression and suicide of no return, this issue is becoming more and more attention.My partners Lihan, Jerry and I designed a twitter account for our plants, Hydrangea, and set up the tablet at exhibition so that the audience can interact more conveniently. When the audience stand close, it will trigger the Raspberry Pi and the infrared sensor, instantly tweeting a picture of the plant and the audience. The audience can then leave a variety of comments. Using Google's text sentiment analysis technology, we can analyze the emotional aspect of the comment, which is divided into positive, normal, or negative. According to different moods, water with different pH values will be injected into the potted plants, affecting its environment and changing their petal color. In addition, when the audience likes the tweet, it expresses pleasure with different color light changes.

This is our first version of Homo Vegetation. The biggest difference of this version is that we use dry butterfly pea for experiment and heart rate sensor for interaction. It is studied that the heart rate will change according to a person's emotional state, so we use Aruduino and heart rate sensor to get the emotional data of the interactive person, and the water valve with different PH quality will be opened according to the change value of heart rate.
