Project Description

In order to become a CHICKEN that contributes to the world, CHICKEN needs five-star ingredients to match, so it sets out in search of ingredient partners! What difficulties will it encounter?

The main mechanic of this game is to get all the food ingredients while avoiding being attacked yourself. Players can use simple key to move and attack enemies. Players can simply lift their left hand to see all the information they need without blocking their view. In addition, the game result display interface will be directly in front of the audience, so that the audience can quickly recognize that the game is over.

The game was originally a third person perspective, in VR in order to allow players to recognize themselves as a chicken, I changed the player's hand into a chicken leg, and put the bleeding particle design in the player to see directly see the place. For the environment design, I added more wooden pile-like objects and white fog to disrupt the rhythm of the playing. In addition, I adjusted the size of the object environment and redesign the animation of ingredients so that the player can play smoothly. In order to increase the difficulty of the level, this version adds a time countdown to improve the shortcomings of the old version felt not exciting enough.

In terms of visual aspect, I mainly use clean and white materials, plus the design of light source to create fantasy colors. For the wall, I wanted to use a more fantastical story, imagining that there were many teeth next to it, but I didn't want to have a very obvious outline, so I used an irregular stack of objects. I chose the song "Eat That Chicken" as the background music, not only to remind players of the game's purpose, but also to recreate a jazzy atmosphere of a bistro. I also added sound effects that trigger objects to enhance the player's sense of interaction. In the interface, I also practiced to provide more customizable player interface, including music change and adjustable volume buttons.
